Jamie was actually the reasonable and level headed one, and beyond right the whole time. Jamie was concerned their son killed himself, and Cersei cared about was that she saw her sons suicide as betraying her. Jamie was also right about needing allies.

This reminds me of when Bobby B told Cersei "It's a neat little trick you do. You move your lips and your father's voice comes out" all the way back in Season 1. No, Cersei isn't the female Tywin like she thinks she is, but it very much is Tywin's voice speaking through Cersei. Or at least it's the impression left of him in his daughter.

I can understand Jamie not going against Cercie all that while. But once she talks like this about their own child's suicide, she has cleared all doubts. By Jamie continuing loving her still, he deserves what came to him

I absolutely love Cersei. She is so cold and doesn't realize that she can't do it on her own. If Tywin would have guided her she would have been a force to be reckoned with.

This was where the writers lost me.. the only redeeming quality about Cercei was her love for her children and she didn’t even mourn for Tommen.
