Obviously, Joffrey was insane and cruel but it’s really moments like these that intrigue me. Like, when he’s ALMOST on track, when he’s ALMOST actually right about worrying about something, and then someone leads him astray again.

Like when he was worried about Daenaerys and her dragons. Tywin told him it was nothing to worry about and discouraged him from coming to any of the council meetings but Joffrey was right to be worried.

Or when he talked to Cersei about having one standing army instead of letting the lords have their own. I’m not sure what the right answer would have been but imagine if he had that same conversation with Robert instead of Cersei. On the surface level he just sounded spoiled and entitled but didn’t Robert have almost the same conversation with Cersei? When he was like “what’s stronger, five armies or one.” AND they were talking about Daenaerys threatening Westeros, the same thing Joffrey worried about later!

He always was proud of being a Beratheon😂 especially the "son" of a warrior like Robert. It's also a good thing that he thinks the "lie" was disgusting.

Idk maybe he already said it to her, but the fact that he didn’t need to reveal the rumor & how quick she was to defend should have made it 100% confirmed to Joffrey that it was the truth rather than a rumor
