Fair point. All of my space on my board is taken up though, and i don't want to upgrade size, it's already bulky enough for me.

I just dial in the amp with the guitar volume pot at 8, and when i want more, i can roll to 10.

I like using a compressor at the beginning of my board..but with the compression dialed back so it thickens the guitar sound & makes it bloom.. then I use a boost after my drive pedals but b4 chorus, delays, reverb ect. I use my drive pedals to get crunchy amp tones & run into a clean Fender style amp sim, or a Katana or Princeton. I am required to play more tones than just big distorted amp sounds. There are few if any venues that allow the luxury of a loudass amp anymore & sadly my 80sJCM800 is currently being used as a lampstand😞

I need three boosts. One before dirt pedals. One after and one after the preamp. That way I can add dirt gain with the first, volume and gain to the preamp with the second and mostly volume with the third into the power amp.
