Mobility or Stability: Which One Matters More as You Age? | Training to Age Well
Показать описание
Have you heard that you need to improve your MOBILITY and STABILITY as you age? Which one matters more? What is the difference between mobility and stability?
In this video, Eileen demonstrates the essential differences between mobility and stability.
Mobility is the extent to which different parts of your body can move. Often, the focus is misplaced on your range of motion to assess your mobility. However, especially in order to age well, your measured range of motion matters less. Mobility matters most when it impairs daily function, in other words, it prevents you from doing things that you need to accomplish in your day-to-day. Mobility limitations in your ankles, shoulders, hips, and trunk can limit your mobility not just in these body parts but throughout the body.
Lack of mobility will also impact stability during the aging process. As your body moves (or mobilizes), any limitations in those movements will prevent your body from stabilizing properly. Stability and mobility thus go hand-in-hand. To age well, you need to train your body in authentic human movement to improve both mobility and stability.

Allow me to show you how to train in AUTHENTIC human movement. You can restore function, prevent injury, and even eliminate long-standing pain when you know the right things to do.
