I am experimenting this cut in dropping protien to .8g/lb (from 1g/lb) so I can increase my carbs to see how it affects my recovery compared to last cut. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Since one is in a cutting phase, the lbs of body weight will gradually decrease. How often should one recalculate the recommended protein intake as one works toward the goal weight?

1.5 grams protein per body weight works for me - I like protein more so then carbs

I eat what my mom cooks, but I hit 225 my new pr during fasting (cutting months). how could that be possible? FYI I'm 3.5 years into bodybuilding (omw to 4). I thought I'm losing some muscles because I didn't hit my protein intake, thus I will get weaker. But, in my case, I have weight loss for about 0.5kgs per week but still gaining strength even tho I'm not a beginner. I'm still confused about how our body works. There are so many realities that are not happening as the theories said. Btw nice info!!

Not “science based, ” but I’m able to cut on around 110 grams protein at about 178 lbs with no noticeable muscle loss and possibly even some gain.

I eat 1.8g/kg because it’s great for satiety and energy, and it stops me from having enough grams of carbs left to eat junk 😂

Numbers are great but like you say human body's not perfect machine and it continually adjust trying to find homeostasis. Hormones play a big part that's why a lot of guys resort to anabolics.
