Thank you for the wonderful video, we need more of these on the internet! I hope that apart from dietary and lifestyle changes, the psycho-emotional aspect can be added to this since it is emphasized so much in TCM, like anger, over-worrying, etc. Thank you once again for both inspirational and educational content!

Very interesting. It sounds like I might have fit into the colder constitution box for the most part back when my digestive issues first started, other than the weight loss part. I tended to gain weight while eating very little. By the time they got severe I couldn't even begin to tell you what box/es I fit into. There were two different times that I had severe symptoms, but they were a little different. The first time I ate very little and cycled between either throwing up or having diarrhea on a daily basis, all while gaining weight like crazy. I always felt like I had gravel in my intestines too. Eventually there was some improvement but I couldn't explain how exactly. I did gluten free for a bit before giving it up and only eating what I craved no matter how little or bizzare the food until I got better.

The second time I developed more severe symptoms the gravel was back combined with acid reflux. Gluten free, dairy free, almost vegan, strict and not strict keto diets were all unmitigated disasters that made everything worse. From there a naturopath sent me down this anti-candida/elimination diet hole that ended with me eating the most restrictive diet I've ever heard of thanks to all my supposed food sensitivities. I was allowed to eat beef, pork, fish, some chicken and eggs, leafy greens, zucchini, cucumber, tiny amounts of carrot, some almonds, coconut milk and oil, granny smith apples, and berries. The list of what I could eat is faster and easier to type than what I could not. The acid reflux would somewhat subside temporarily with every food eliminated, then come back with a vengeance. It went from painful acid reflux to choking on my vomit in my sleep. I had to sleep almost bolt upright to get a tiny bit of relief.

Two things happened that got me out of the whole mess. My husband came home with this seaweed drink that had fucoidan in it and begged me try it. His friend made it sound like a cure all so I was fairly certain it was snake oil like every other natural cure I'd tried. However, in two weeks 70% of my symptoms cleared up. After that I got super fed up and gave everyone and their diet advice the double bird. I went back to eating only what I craved and was finally able to figure out what foods, combinations of foods, and amounts caused me indigestion and acid reflux. I have my own loose guidelines for eating now. Nothing is off limits, only put in the "eat rarely in small amounts" category when I think I can handle it. Some foods I don't mix in a single meal, except rarely of course. Other than that my diet looks pretty much like a balanced diet would, no more extremes. 85 - 90% cured in the digestion department.

I don't eat too much. I do sports. I have trouble getting all my calories. I have menopausal reflux. Very bad. I hope I will be able to treat this with nature.
