Patient's perspective: Most important thing: Oral hygiene. My daily routine now: brush (electric), floss, scrape tongue, and finish with a water pic with the "Pick Poc" attachment. Highly recommended! It may sound excessive, but isn't. Implants are expensive and, more importantly, there are many other problems than can arise if they become infected. YOU do NOT want this! I've had my implants for 30 years and counting ---- way beyond the "expected shelf-life"!

I have 4 implant and only one of them can be unscrewed, the other 3 can’t, since the dentist said that with the screw it is hard to place them properly . And guess what happened, one of 3 got a bactiera and it took me couple of weeks to fight it, I had to use small brush which cleans in between the implants . If it had a screw it would be much simpler . And why I got bacteria, my guess that happened after taking benedril which dries mouth, Also my surgeon said that the implant was placed with gaps, and some areas are not smooth, smoothness is very critical. So in my opinion proper hygiene is secondary to having proper placement and non dry mouth.

Is putting a amalgum filling through a gold crown acceptable practice?

I didn't know implants required even more care. I probably have cavities in all of my teeth. I'm almost 40. Nearly needed a root canal once. I seriously don't know why humans have so few regenerative abilities. Our teeth and eyes are crucial. I hope gene therapy of the future will force our mouth to replace old teeth with new ones.
