I'm on day 2. Best of luck to everyone in recovery. Things will get better. You're all worth so much!

My best advice early on is to always keep you guard up. It's easy to say no at first but then you can get lazy and took sobriety for granted.

7 days sober! I did quit cold turkey last Monday after waking up with Vertigo after 4 or so glasses of wine the day/evening before.
I promised God if he made it stop I’d quit drinking. So far so good. No more guilt and shame.

Im a 6-12 beers a night drinker. Kombucha, for some reason, hits the spot. Its helping me with the cravings, whenever I want something thats what I reach for. And I'm not looking at forever. Im looking at today. Today its not an option, and then I just say that every day. It helps.

Hi Jae! Six days sober😀. I’ve been listening to you for quite sometime now and thinking about getting sober. You are really encouraging and so is this audience. My skin already looks better, sleep is still a little restless. I’m so glad you warned us about replacing drinking with another bad habit. I want to eat more! I’ve been giving myself permission with the excuse that I’m not taking in all those extra calories with alcohol. I’m working on a plan for that, and I’m beginning to exercise. Thank you so much for this channel!!!

I stayed sober for 5 years and then slowly but surely fell back into, completely. I am literally on day 2 today and I can’t get the thought that I can’t do it out of my head playing on replay. I live alone and lost my job and am completely isolated so I am happy to have found this channel to help me hopefully retrain my brain to know that I can do it. I’ve done it before. I started therapy a month ago so I know that is good support for me. Thank you for being here for all of us!

Yes I'm hard on myself. The guilt is killing me yet I kept making the same mistakes.

My name is Paulo.
I was a horrendous alcoholic and over 1 L of vodka a day. I almost died three times and had to be rushed to hospital. I have been sober four years. Now I am the most famous foreigner in Cambodia as I accidentally launched a television career. I am now the number one English speaking news reader and I hunt abandoned Temples just like Indiana Jones

My story is incredible and people do tell me that Maybe we could do a interview that would help other people to see there is so much more beyond the horrors of addiction

If you want to do an interview, let me know and I’ll be happy to talk with you to help others

Here I am back again after being sober for 3+ months and then thinking I can manage my alcohol intake, before I knew it I was back at it every other day. Here we go again

I spent today getting light exercise and much needed stretching. It even cleared a bit of brain fog.

I suffer from psoriatic arthritis and the blunt fact is that alcohol will wreack havoc on the joints. If I don't stay the sobriety course, which is certainly why I'm here... again, I'll deform and destroy my joints.

I beg you, if you have an auto immune disease please abstain from alcohol.

Edit: I just got a click counter app, quitting vaping is exactly like they show in those commercials.

Regarding # 3, my recommendation is to spend the 1st day doing a complete cleanup of your living space. You may want to continue over the next days clearing out all the clutter. The minimalist lifestyle goes well with sobriety.

Just over 12 months here. It definitely gets easier. I was a heavy daily drinker and now hardly ever think about it.

Think about the long term
Good luck 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I just discovered your channel. Im almost 70 and im so ready to be done.
Im gonna watch at least one of your episodes each day.
You pack in a lot of very useful stuff in a half hour or so.
Im burned out on AA meetings because they are so inefficient with my time in an hour long meeting.
I just watched 3 of your videos and learned way more than i would have learned in a week of AA meetings. THANK YOU.
I will "keep coming back" to your presentations Sir.

5 months of sobriety after 6 years of cigs weed alcohol drugs ... i am actually doing very very well, i don't wanna be a loser anymore, and i decided to be determined and healthier, for you my friends who are taking similar decision, i am proud of you and remember It's important to focus on the journey rather than the destination. Celebrate your progress, seek support when needed, and continue to work towards your sobriety goals. Remember, every day you remain sober is a victory.
