'If you're going through hell, keep going!'

The word i had to look up, "girdle", implies a lot more as well. To girdle a tree is to cut into the bark of a tree all the way around to kill a bark around a tree or a branch to make the tree more fruitful. Become one with your pain and dont think of yourself as a victim, but as a survivor. I told my mom that a couple times over the years and she trult went through awful stuff as a child right from the moment she was a toddler. Str8 up abandonded by mom. She is a truly amazing and wonderful mother and is truly a strong woman and does not feel sorry for herself. But so much trauma is haunting. Greatest Mom a son could ask for. ❤❤

For people who don't get it:
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"

Wow, that's deep! Jordan Peterson always brings some thought-provoking insights. It's all about navigating through life's challenges with resilience and acceptance. Embracing the truth of our existence, even when it's tough, is the key to growth and wisdom.

Brilliant answer from 1 intellectual to another. In that answer he gave the tools needed to accept the world perceived and considered.
Peterson, proved then and there, he is present and wise.

I asked chat GPT and this what it came back with about the second The second part, "you take more of the thing that poisons you until you turn it into a tonic that girdles the world around you, " might metaphorically imply transforming negative experiences or challenges into something positive and empowering. It suggests the idea of using adversity as a catalyst for personal growth or positive change, turning what might initially seem harmful into a source of strength or wisdom.

I lean right into adversity… I am stronger than my pain. 💫💫💫

The key to those two perspectives is that the question is asked under the assumption of an external locus of control versus the answer, which is founded on an internal locus of control. Profound.

And they both said things i've lived by, so far in my life. Close to the exact words even, strange world we live in.

“It's a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing.”

Sounds like something Marcus Aurelius would say.

Can someone explain why this was a very important question and very intelligent answer. Please and thank you

Easier said than done tbh. The same applies to Petersons thoughts on "the abyss". Not everyone can see the light. A lot of us get trapped in that darkness and it swallows us. Similar thing with the poison

Peterson says that and breaks down a lot .. campaigns through misery but great for others

This would be a little better if you didn’t clip it. It really isn’t that much longer
