Believe and repent. mark1:15 Repentance ( turning from sin) is the response to belief- its continuous. you cannot just believe. Ephesians 5:5–6 . God cares more about your holiness than your happiness. People talk about joy, which is different from happiness. Joy is based on my hope in the future rather than my "feelings" at current circumstances. That is not to say we as Christians cannot be happy at times, or down and depressed. I often get asked why I am so "happy" by non Christian friends. Joy is not just wishful, it part of my perspective on life.
