Can ANY graphics card REALLY Game at 8K??

Nvidia marketed the RTX 3090 as an 8K gaming GPU and received a lot of criticism for not REALLY being up for it. Can AMD beat Nvidia at their own game with the Radeon RX 6900 XT and a good overclock?

I've been playing emulated Metroid Prime supersampled at like 10K on a 1440p monitor and it looks soooo smooth. There is no aliasing and super sharp detail. It looks amazing and the engine held up very well.

1440p looks amazing and more than clear enough, idk why people take the performance hit for 4k, let alone 8k.

How do u get my graphics card to function fully like this? I have an RX 6900 XT Sapphire Nitro+ with an i7 8700k and 16GB or RAM and I dont have nearly as good performance as the card should bring apperently. What software to have it safely overclocked or just overall better utilize its power? Any tips?
