☆ HOW TO FIND YOUR ART STYLE?? || 5 Easy Steps! ☆

This has been a very highly-requested topic, and today's the day to talk about it! Here are 5 steps you can follow to find your own art style.

G'day friends!

I know finding your art style is time consuming and may be very frustrating at times. But that's all it is: time. It will take effort and practice to bring your art where you want it to be. I think it might help some people out there to get advice from someone who isn't any sort of professional artist themselves. And that's where I can help! Here are the ways I developed my art style:

1) draw ALL THE TIME ⌚️
Always have a pad of paper or a sketchbook with you. Constantly draw new things, and draw real people you see in real life.
2) stay motivated 💪
I struggled for a long time with long and frequent periods of art block, which made me dislike drawing. When you have artblock, draw fanart or something that's out of your comfort zone (ex: if you draw a lot of people, try referencing some cat photos). You can't think that your art of something looks bad if you don't have any prior experience drawing it.
3) Have fun! 🌼
I know that sounds super cheesy, but enjoy yourself! If you finish a piece but you don't like it, remember how much fun you had making it, or how relaxing it was. If you really dislike it, mess around and destroy the piece by drawing silly faces on it, or turning it into another character. Art is all about enjoying yourself.

Step 2: trace each art style
Step 3: combine art styles together
Step 4: delete the pictures from step 2
That’s how I did it and I did just fine :)

I found my style by looking at different cartoon shows cause I like drawing cartoon. So that’s kinda merged styles like spongebob, adventure time, and Steven universe
