Michel van Biezen Could it be that the absorption and emission of light is quantized (photons) and that the EM field is waves between the emission and absorption? We could think of light as waves over a period of time relative to the atoms of the periodic table and particles (photons) as an emergent uncertain future unfolds.

I think to total energy of individual photos is equal. Photons of long wavelengths have lesser energy per unit length compared to photos of shorter wavelength. In photos of longer wavelength wave properties are more prominent while in shorter wavelength photons particles properties are more prominent. It is like motion of 200 kg vs motion of 1 gram with 1 meter gap.

Wow, 1.24x10^-11 eV or 12.4 picoelectron volts (peV) is over 142 billion (1.42x10^-11) times less energetic than even the least energetic visible light (red) photon at 700 nm which is at roughly 1.77 eV of energy. That energy is almost unfathomably small compared to visible light!

I can see why not many people don't use energy units like joules of electron volts for radio waves lol

When a radiowave photon can have so few energy as exponent to the minus 11 eV, how can it than move electrons in an antenna to transmit a signal??

AMAZING! Thank you so much, great examples as well.

When are radiowave photon can have so few energy, how can it than be able to move electrons in an antenna to transmit the signal?

Michel, @ 1mm is where microwaves and inferred overlap, When looking at the periodic table in the old Bohr model it states how many protons, neutrons and electrons it takes to create mass. To form hydrogen it takes 1 proton and 1 electron . The new cloud model states that 1 proton in a cloud of electron is hydrogen. So how big is the electron cloud holding Earth together? What is electricity? Thanks to MIT 8.02x - Lect 1 - Electric Charges and Forces - Coulomb's Law - Polarization, Lectures by Walter Lewin. They will make you ♥ Physics.

Hi Mr. Michel and thanks a lot for the lecture,
what about the amplitude for each wavelength, does it change with frequency and the wavelength, also what is the amplitude of light, thanks a lot.

9:25 How come, there, you say "point five divided by ten" instead of multiplied by ten?
