I think the highest energy of visible light (at 400 nm wavelength) is around 4.966*10⁻¹⁹ joules or 3.1 electron volts which is *MUCH* less energy than the approximately 1, 020, 000 electron volts needed for pair production.

Quote from Secret Melody, by Thuan
In the past, the appearance of infinite values has always signalled a breakdown of our theories, rather than extreme behavior on the part of the universe. It has been a sign of lack of imagination on our part, rather than a property of nature itself.

My suggestion is that the infinite values are correct, and that renormalization was a mistake. The infinities are correct.

Follow that and everything starts being a unified theory not a patchwork of solutions on separate specific problems.

My suggestion is that
PHOTONS and ELECTRONS / POSITRONS are the same thing. They are two Versions of the same thing.

Photons create electron positron pairs.
Electron positron annihilate into energy, photons
Let's rephrase.
Photons turn into electron positron pairs under certain conditions.
Electrons and positrons turn into photons under certain conditions.

Photons is the speed of light version.
Positron / electron are the space time version.

Furthermore the electron and positron are entangled and swich back and forth under changing conditions.

Some thoughts ;

Are photons created by electrons or the other way around?

The movement of electrons is responsible for both the creation and destruction of the photons, and that's the case for a lot of light production and absorption. An electron moving in a strong magnetic field will generate photons just from its acceleration.Apr 19, 2016

The fact that pair conversion is more active at higher temperatures is a clue to what could have happened at post Big Bang temperatures

For an electron to quantum jump it needs a photon for energy. Maybe Electrons move continually from photon energy.

The following quote reiterates what I've been saying - photons are outside of distance and time. Yet I disagree on how the author interprets those facts. My suggestion is that there are unproven suppositions here that are wrong.

First read this and then I'll comment.
Nothing can travel at light speed - except light... so what would a journey across space be like for a photon, a single light quantum? Distance would shrink to zero and the photon's clock would stop ticking altogether. For the photon, there is no distance and no time; a journey from one side of the Universe to the other is accomplished in no time at all because for the photon the whole Universe is contracted into zero length. The photon effectively is emitted and absorbed instantaneously. From the perspective of the photon it is as if the photon never existed, because what can exist for zero time? What all this actually means is something way beyond human comprehension... Robert Snedden, The 15 Minute Einstein.

Comments: "there is no distance and no time", I agree. But "a journey from one side of the Universe to the other", could not happen, because photons are outside of distance, so there is no distance between any two photons. They are no distance apart. They are in a single dimensionless point. The same goes for time - the first photon and the last are all outside of time and eternal. They are all always in a single dimensionless point outside of time and distance.

To say a photon is emitted and absorbed suggests that photons have a start and a stop, a beginning and an end. But how can something eternal have a start or a stop? It cannot. We obviously SEE one but we also see a specific speed of light! Something is missing, if photons do not experience distant or time, then how can light have a specific speed? That is saying that photons have time and distance. They do not! They seem to to us; it seems obvious; but Einstein proved they do not!
Let's go further,

Professor Einstein said space and time are inextricably linked. But photons are outside of time, so they are also outside of space-time that are inextricably linked together. They are not a part of space that needs time to exist or time that needs space to exist. That means anything going the speed of light is outside of space time.

If photons are outside of space-time then they had nothing to do with the Big Bang that created space time. Photons are separate.

My suggestion, as I've written before, is that photons are eternal. Photons were the singularity that the Big Bang broke out of.

Then I go further and say that we know that photons are emitted and then instantaneously absorbed, experiencing travel through space in no time. Perhaps photons in pair conversion convert to electron positron pairs that do exist in space time. Then I go further and suggest that photons and electron positrons are the same thing but in different forms.

More to follow.

An atom absorbs massless photon & emits 2 mass bearing particles. Do the particles borrow their mass from atom, otherwise pair production should have also happened in free space.

Also, two photons colliding with each other could produce an electron and antielectron pair.
The wavelength of the photons would be, λ = 6.2 * (10 ^ -11) m , x-rays.

Thanks for actually using the equations in an example.

Anybody here may be interested if you haven't seen it yet about the math it took and the collection of satellites around the Earth to supposedly take a picture of a black hole near to us

Thanks for the video, but I just wanted to know, you said that the photon creates an electron and positron so it's not photoelectric effect? And does it only happen at that frequency you said? And last thing does the photoelectric effect only release electrons? Im sorry for the inconvenience

A photon of sufficient energy created by an oscillating electron can produce a positron in pair production. How does a positive charge emerge from a process involving negatively charged electron.

This from Wikipedia article Matter Creation, then scroll down to section, Photon Pair Production.

It is possible to create all fundamental particles in the standard model, including quarks, leptons and bosons using photons of varying energies above some minimum threshold, whether directly (by pair production), or by decay of the intermediate particle (such as a W− boson decaying to form an electron and an electron-antineutrino).

I have a question. Has anyone done a pair production experiment around 2010 to 2020?

My suggestion is that:
1. the singularity before the Big Bang was all photons, and
2. that the universe was made by pair conversion where photons make electron positron pairs.

Readers challenge me with, how can you prove that?
Most of it has already been proved!

These 3 things that we know are true, support many of my ideas on the importance of photons in physics

1. Photons are outside of time and distance.
2. Photons create an electron positron pair in pair conversion. ( During extreme conditions photons can create proton, anti proton pairs; and neutron, anti neutron pairs).
3. Should all the mass be converted to energy, we would have a universe of photons.

What's a good, practicable positron source? I wanna check that.

Are you really sure that Photons exist at all? I don’t think so.

Hi, thanks for the interesting explanation! I have a question in reference to the last confirming...the positron and electron particles  are mass displaced from the target mass? So the mass has been displaced as opposed to created?

My understanding some of that mass in this case arises from the contraction and expansion of spacetime. Although the electric charge in space is typically zero, the addition of energy can cause spacetime to contract or expand. For instance, when a negative electric charge field contracts spacetime towards a single point (an electron), a second field may need to expand (a positron) to preserve the energy balance of spacetime, so the mass of electrons/positrons and charge are constant and any additional energy collapses the fields or converts into Kinect energy or different particles, because mass does not only relies on charge.
