Everyone confused, slack is a messaging app similar to kik or whatsapp etc but it's specifically for business professionals. Some companies use it for colleagues to talk business with each other, messages are encrypted so its a safe way share sensitive business info. However some owners are wary of it because it could also be an easy way for one of their employees to share info with competitors. Tbh if all my employees had shit to hide in slack to this degree I'd be a bit nervous as well 🤣

Quick lesson for anyone new to an office workspace: don't say anything in Slack that you aren't comfortable with everyone in the company reading. It's good to also watch what you say, but specifically with written/digital communications, as everything is screenshottable.
