Plot twist: FSD actually simulates hitting the curb. It was trained on so many curb scratchers that the AI actually plays the appropriate sound over the speakers... That would be so AI.

I got a notification from Tesla Germany, that my 2017 Model S (upgraded to HW3) is applicable for a free camera upgrade for Tesla vision only. I am glad that older Models are not left behind. For me this is an indication, that FSD for Europe is in preparation.

From someone who works with me here in Germany and brought her US purchased Tesla. If you ship your US car to Europe, FSD still works. But maps don’t update.

This happened to me when someone ran out behind my car while i was backing up. I didn't see them at all, but the car ground to a halt. The stop was so sudden, it felt like I hit a concrete pillar or something similar

The "joke" about Europe is that every country has it's own "style" when it comes to road signs. They harmonize the curvature of a banana but completely fail in a uniform system for road signage... For example: Germany and France often use the village signs to signal a 50 kmh speed limit when you enter and the end of village sign signals the end of the 50 kmh limit. Switzerland, on the other hand uses proper "50" and "end of 50" signs. Might be a challenge.

On Tuesday I drove from Big Trees (Calaveras County) to San Francisco area. I saw many Tesla Cars, a couple of Cybertrucks and one Tesla Tractor and semitrailer (with a Cheetos wrap). It was going up the Altamont pass where there are many windmills. I finally saw an electric big rig. Too bad I couldn’t look at it e driving .

I hope adding the highway stack improves high speed driving/traffic everywhere. Mine cannot handle regular roads that have 55mph+ speeds. It will pull out in front of high speed traffic. Like Chuck Cooks famous intersection but add another 15mph.

I don’t think they will release actual intervention numbers until 10/10 or till FSD is officially feature complete and on the books. Love to hear those numbers though.
