This video misses one importat point: There are two types of EMF in EV cars or Hybrid. One type is measured by micro or milliwatts/square meter, and the other, that is quite harmful, is measured with a different meter and the unit of measure is milligauss. My fridge can give a low RF reading whereas it gives a high milligaus reading.

While I appreciate the video, if you're trying to test for the EMF emitted by the traction motor(s), you're using the wrong meter, and it will not register at all. You need to be using one that measured in the Kilohertz range 0 Hz - 10, 000 kHz to be measuring low frequent (ELF) EMF. What you're measuring is high frequency EMF, in the Megahertz range. So what you're picking up is WiFi (2.45 Ghz), Bluetooth (2.45 Ghz), or cellular (700, 850, 1700/2100, 1900, etc in Mhz).

Great vid! Yes please do an update with additional readings including having the meter near the floors… See what your feet are being exposed to. I did readings in a Jeep Renegade, Prius and the floor readings were very high

I work in the IT Field and have for over a decade. I have worked for global corporations doing what I do. I can tell you, that anyone who buys one of these cars is literally COOKING their cells.

the whole bottom is a massive battery. no way. so bad for you. dirty electricity has an equally bad effect as emf and the emf alone is a reason to never mess with these things

As a retired firefighter, all of the EV's are greatly concerning regarding fires in the batteries. Numerous Tesla autos have caught fire. Big careful.

Wow there some real brains in this job, you’re in a city centre, drive to the countryside, without being near a communications mast

Overall a good video.
Couple of points. The EMF meter only responds to certain frequencies. Radiation could be very high outside the meter range and cause issues Also not sure if your meter measures magnetic fields. Of the meter only reads electric fields you are not measuring the true EMF Magnetic fields can cause issues to the human body.
Another thing is you should always measure the background EMF readings so you know the contribution from the car relative to the background.

Thank you for this… this needs more attention 😥🙏🏼

Apparently, mercedes was investing in EMR reduction engineering in their cabins. this was news a few years back where they setup a new facility. Maybe worth testing their newer models with your meters....

it has become so difficult to buy cars these days, as even the basic models are integrating more wireless tech in teh name of safety. if you have recommendations on what we can consider (based on your experiences), then please do post / vlog.

I noticed you didn't try it on the motorway. Is there an increase in EMF radiation when the system is taxed a bit more?

Hello!
I have tested a Tesla 3 this week.
I did the tests in a place that the RF levels from the environment was lower than 0.002 mW/m2 (with the CORNET ED88TPLUSV2 which is much faster meter than the one you guys are using). The WIFI was turned OFF the the Bluetooth was not coupled.
What I saw is that the LTE modem is radiating all the time. The levels went up to 10mW/m2.
Since I am sensitive to EMF, and since I ran out of time I did not video it and did not continue to test. That was a "No Go" for me.
If you guys are getting headaches, most likely you are also more sensitive to EMF (RF).
You might want to check if there were cell-towers near the Tesla dealership. ?
In addition I would recommend using a faster sampling rate RF meter.
PS. If they are using AM frequencies for in-car communication, that is very bad news for lots of people.

My neighbor recently bought this Tesla. He wanted to show me how fast it was. Incredible acceleration, it was really fast!
But almost immediately when I got into the car, I felt a pressure in my head. A couple of minutes later I had ringing in my ears and palpitations.I actually felt really sick! Although I am otherwise healthy and fit.
My belief is that emr and emf are very dangerous to health. No Tesla for me unfortunately..

Great Work ! Continue testing EMF in others EVs and also in ICE cars. I feel a little headache, when i test drive Tesla model 3 and X but also in the Nissan Leaf and Bmw i3. The feeling is always the same, what i feel is that the ambiance in the interior is not like in a ICE car. I think is not suggestion, my wife feels the same. Maybe regenerative breaking?

How does your emf meter reads inside of a regular standard car ?

No disrespect, but you're using the wrong meter for the Tesla. You should be using a magnetic field (gauss) and electric field meter. Gigahertz Solutions makes them. Electric vehicles can produce nasty magnetic fields that can make people feel sick. Anyway, your RF meter will just measure radio frequencies, such as wifi, cell, DEC cordless phones, bluetooth -- all of which is important to know -- however, you should be also measuring magnetic and electric fields -- hence EMF.

Appreciate you doing research into this!! To add, new vehicles tend to have high levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the plastics, glue, carpets, foam, and leather. That can definitely be what was causing your headache while in the car!

In all the videos testing electromagnetic fields (EMF) in cars, a common problem is that they either conduct the tests while the vehicle is stationary, or they neglect to assess EMF levels in the rear seats while the car is in motion.

I use an emf detector in my car all the time and the alarm sounds as i drive around most cities. We're getting fried whatever We're driving. Take your meter into the self service checkouts in sainsburys . You will be amazed. 😅
