The world needs a high quality electric vans - preferably in multiple sizes. Sadly, I don’t see Tesla offering such a line up.

The body seemed to be plastic. It was vinyl wrapped. An engineer told me that the 20 cabs there are pre-production prototypes. Meaning they’re probably very close to what they’ll actually look like. There’s no frunk, most of the control equipment has been moved there to increase trunk space. Very comfortable and quiet during my ride in it.

Just for information, the back tires of the cyber cab are 225/60/R21 (not R12 as mentioned in the video) and the front wheels are 215/60/R18.

This is a big deal even if AI does not get to this point. Optimus will allow for telepresence, so physical interaction/work can be done. Impressive. Imagine Optimus arms on amputees combined with Neuralink. omg can't wait!

For the Cybercab material, Sandi Monro said it's carbon fiber. For a prototype it makes sense. The final product will probably have molded plastic panels (like the old Saturn cars), over a cast frame. Cheap to produce, no paint needed, easy to replace when damaged.

Airports would be a great place to test robovan. It’s a more controlled space and easier to implement early. Also think of all the luggage space!
