I don't know what you guys drink but we can't see MUCH of graphical improvements other than some sort of dynamic shadows/light we clearly don't need in a moba games. Focus more on skill/ultimate effects

I really hope those in-game icons are for pre-alpha only and you plan to use splash arts as icons/portraits. The way it looks at 0:56 is hideous.

Kinda think the old smite art style looks more pleasant to the eyes. The vibrant colors are missing in this version. The models sure look better but from what i'm seeing right now the map isn't doing it for me.

I got excited about this (as I am just finding out about SMITE 2) and even liked the video and got excited about NANITE on Unreal Engine 5.
Then I kept reading comments and forums to find out that thousands I've spent on SMITE 1 will basically be GONE? Your loyal supporting players, the backbone of your income to get SMITE where it is today, you just gonna leave behind over an ENGINE Upgrade? Nothing stops you guys from just using all the skins as it's just an asset... Overwatch 2 did it, Dota 2 Did it, CSGO to CS2 did it, why can't you guys?

so smite 1 wasnt fun to play and smite 2 is a graphics remake? bro this aint gonna make the game fun to play you gotta rework all the gameplay dont make it like failed Overwatch 2 make it play like Valorant.

All looks great, but really not a big fan of the new god splash art, it just looks like those old cursed LoL splash arts.

it looks exactly the same. that is quite embarrassing. I think of the jump in graphical fidelity between dark souls 1 (2011) and dark souls 3 (2016), say, five years, a massive gain, where now smite (2012) and smite 2 (2024), twelve years, looks incomprehensibly the same. (and it was 2012, not 2014: you were in 'beta' at that time charging for gems and the godpack, with little fundamental changes to the game but item modifications and the addition of new gods/maps). it does not even look like something is improving here, just different. not a forward step but broadly lateral. that as i say is embarrassing for a games studio in 2024. could you imagine if any other games company released a graphical "deep dive" for a sequel to their marquee, company defining game and it looks essentially exactly the same as the original? is it greed or incompetency?
