Smashing it as always mate 🔥 this hits hard, if I look back my Audible has loads of books I’ve just listened to absent-mindedly. It’s what you do with the information that counts. Rather than buy 10 books, open one you’ve already got and actually action the stuff inside - see what a difference it can make

Afternoon Alb, interesting content and yeah this does resonate, that’s why I gave up on books 😂 saved me a fortune and my sanity. Like the new studio lighting and keep up the current direction of videos, far better than the old TA 😊

I totally agree with you. I have children too. So who are some people you have as a rolemodel? I follow Riz Iqbal, but I don't know many others with this kind of lifestyle (children, relationship, age 30-40).

I used to buy the books, read 50 or 60 pages and then leave it, passing on another book that I wanted to read more and so on and so fourth. Good thing from that time is, I have a few to actually read before the need to buy new ones 😅

Don't Change your journey based on the content that you are consuming.

I have read ALOT of SH books in the last 6 years. I did the whole, the more I consume ill become better and went on a stoving in mission. As you mention you then think there is a constant problem to fix so you looking for a cure. I can't remember who said it or where I heard it be 'We control only 2 things in life what we think about and what we focus on' I enjoy alot of the Ryan Holiday books and often Re read books only a selection but these help resonate certain principles. Plus I've now switched up what I read with a healthy dose of Lee Childs and Stuart Macbride 😂📖

Personally I see books as a great way to acquire information, and listening to what one has to say, like a conversation with someone only I can just listen to what they have to say, and think about everything they say, it gives me a chance to come to conclusions that I wouldn't have come to otherwise, because the mind is very closed in what it knows and we might not see things some times, and so outside information helps me to think differently from how I'm thinking in my "box", as an input.
It's something that I try to do with people as well, every person however wrong they may be in most things, they definitely have information that I don't have and can't see and therefore can give me input to think differently in something.
So I don't agree so much with the title of this video, because I think (but I could be wrong) that reading books and also not applying them is better than not reading at all, because you are still acquiring the information, you are giving your mind different information to think about, and if as you said we almost always have the same thoughts as the day before, then having different information than we are used to have, might trigger a different thought process, however it is clear that reading books and applying them is even better, it is the hardest part but it is the best way to actually make a way of thinking your own.

As Mark Twain said,
"A man who does not read good books has no advantage over a man who cannot read."
