Did you know how easy it is to make mayonnaise at home?

Here’s the recipe:

INGREDIENTS

- 1 whole egg
- 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup oil (olive oil or neutral oil, depending on taste)

INSTRUCTIONS

Using an immersion blender or food processor, mix the whole egg, mustard, lemon juice, and salt until combined and smooth.

With the immersion blender running, add oil of choice in a slow steady stream until all the oil is added. The mixture will become thick and white. The type of oil you chose to use will make a difference in the flavor.

The key is slowly streaming in the oil, as slow as he did, most recipes u see don’t stress that enough, I waisted so much oil and like 10 eggs one time

From there, add some raw honey, salt and pepper, more mustard. Tasty honey mustard dip.

Thanks so much for a great simple mayo recipe! My husband and 6 year old is picky with mayo and they liked this. Only thing I added was a small splash of vinegar as it added a tang that they like.

Well I tried making this Mayo recipe today finally ( bcuz I needed Mayo) 😅& it came out beautifully…although I did make a few changes & or additions to adjust the flavor to my liking… that’s the beauty of this …. Make it your own… but the consistency was spot on… TY SOOOO MUCH for sharing & saving me a trip into town which would be close to one hour round trip not to mention cost of gas ⛽️ & no big grocery stores open at this ungodly hour 😂😂😂 ..I’m a night owl 🦉 😂😂…I can say.. I will NEVER buy Mayo again…I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALL YOUR CONTENT…CAN I ADOPT YOU??? PLEASE 🙏 …..PRETTY PLEASE 🙏 with sugar on top ???😊😊😊

Mom would add a tiny bit of paprika because she liked the red flecks in it, no taste. She used vegetable oil because, back then, there weren’t many choices like today.

Wanted a spicier mayo…used robust olive oil, smoked paprika, and course ground mustard. So many options! ❤
