As an Indian, I was shocked when she said she ran out of mayonnaise. I would have used that mayonnaise in the jar for my next generation too😂😂

In a blender add:
One whole egg
A teaspoon of white vinegar
A pinch of salt
2 cloves of garlic
Then add vegetable oil little by little till it thickens
There you go!!!💖

I feel like this should come with the disclaimer that homemade mayonnaise doesn't taste *ANYTHING* like store bought. I love homemade, but they're really two different beasts. It also doesn't work as well for things like picnic salads. (Especially for any sort of outdoor events Real mayonnaise spoils faster than store bought because of the raw egg.)

It is fun, super quick, and simple.
Stoked you showed the whisk way too, as I haven’t got anything else.

I can’t justify eating a tub of seed oil, but tuna melts just aren’t without mayonnaise, in my opinion.

I am elated to have some home made olive oil mayonnaise.

It was to runny at first, and I just kept adding oil, thinking this seems like the wrong direction, but with more it did eventually thicken up, so that’s wonderbar.

as a brokie that thinks $6 is too much for a jar of mayo, I've been tryin to find good options. gonna go for a more slavic option and make it with sunflower seed oil and dill

Is lecithin an emulsifier? I thought its just a Phospholipid found in the cell membrane..? 😅

Very delicious!!! But food safety tip; this only lasts about 5 days before it has to be tossed as there isn’t preservatives like commercial mayo.

I use vegetable oil instead and it worked pretty well and tasted amazing

I would have added the mustard in the end. Then the cayenne pepper. And then refrigerate the whole thing for atleast 2 hours. This helps the flavours blend

I always just get a blender and put in it

1-an egg (not cold)
2-mustard
3- salt
4-black peper
5-oil (of your choise)
And i blend intil it becomes a creamy lightcolored mayo and dont use cold eggs or it will fail and become like water
