FAQs??

-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?

This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.

-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?

Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.

-How much yarn do I need?

Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

-What equipment do you use?

-What do you do for a living?

For over 40 years my mother tried to teach me how to do a “ granny square” but I just couldn’t get it( I’m left handed and she was right handed)... she passed away last year and I made up my mind I would learn how to do this one way or another, thanks to you I have now learned how and am making my 2nd blanket ! I watch you go thought the steps, the listen to your instructions, pause the video, then try it, rewind and watch again to make sure I’m getting the correct steps... works for my left handed brain!!!! So thank you so much for helping me fulfill a life long dream of doing a blanket like my mother!!!!

I've been trying to learn a granny square on and off for years. Now with this pandemic I have time on my hands and a well needed distraction in life. Gladly I have mastered the square but still use this video to dip into to remind me how to finish a certain row or start up a next row etc... I have done my own diagram now which is a great point of reference. I just wanted to say thank you for helping me on the beginnings of a beautiful crochet journey, also I find crocheting does amazing wonders for my mental health. A much appreciated thank you!

I really liked your pacing in the beginning! I could follow without pausing the video. You started fast forwarding a little early for me.

I do enjoy this tutorial, however, when you fast forward. I lose my position. I will try harder to find a way. thanks for the journey this far. You have a pleasant voice.

My time mark! It's taken me roughly 3 hours to get to this point because of the amount of times I re-started but this video has been so easy because you explain it so well!

Needed an explanation for how to keep the tension when you're trying to hold a small circle, a piece of thread, another piece of thread, a crochet hook and probably several small animals.

I have a crocheted granny square blanket that my granddad made in the sixties and I'm going to make one just like it.

Wow! I did it first try! Thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial. My grandmother passed about a year ago and she used to be amazing at crochet but after a failed attempt to teach me when I was small, I gave up. Its really bittersweet to finally learn and not be able to show her, but lovely to know she’s passed down this skill to me nonetheless.

Hi Bella, thank you for this tutorial. I used to crochet with my dear departed mum, many years ago she taught me this but I had forgotten how. Your video helped me remember and brought back happy memories. xx

My mom has crocheted ever since I can remember ❤️ she’s made me 3 blankets in my lifetime and many many more for family members . Every time there’s a new baby in the family there she is making a blanket. Even when she travels to Mexico she takes the new ones for the new babies ❤️ I love it so much! Now I’m 28 and I want to learn!!! I’m also learning how to use a sewing machine!!
