FAQs??

-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?

This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.

-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?

Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.

-How much yarn do I need?

Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

-What equipment do you use?

-What do you do for a living?

I watched another tutorial and barely understood what was happening. This is the 2nd granny square tutorial of yours I’ve watch and oh my goodness you are the best tutorial maker like ever. I absolutely love the way you explain each and every step and slow down enough for people to follow along and encourage people to pause to catch up. Please never stop doing what you do, you are truly helping grow this wonderful community

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your instructions. Slow enough for a newbie like me, but not TOO slow. Very plain and easy to understand. If anyone I know needs a video of how to crochet a certain stitch, I will always send them to you!!! Thanks so much!!!

I have been crocheting for over 50 years, this is the first time I have ever done a solid square, thank you 😊

I adore how you suggest pausing to "catch up" or basically try the steps before you steam ahead. Thank you for your pace during the lesson. Thanks to you I can now do this!

I was following along and writing down as you were explaining it. Then when it was finished, I watched it again and looked at my notes to be sure I had it written down right (which I did). This will be my first attempt at making a granny square. My maternal grandmother showed me how to crochet over 35+ years ago. Just this year alone I have crocheted scarves, baby blankets and booties. Now, if I can get this down right, granny squares. I think my grandmother is smiling down from heaven knowing that her youngest granddaughter is doing what she had been doing for so many years.

I'm finding your videos wonderfully inspiring thanks. I simply cannot understand how so many people "dislike or downvote" craft videos. People like you give this advice freely and for the love of sharing beautiful handmade crafted items. Years ago, we paid big $$$ for magazines - or lessons - to learn these techniques - and now we can get it for free on YT - yet people will dislike them? Why? I guess you can't please everyone.

I am currently a beginner and I find your videos much more easy than other channels! I think I will make more of these and create a little blanket or bag out of them.

This was the first video (after many many attempts to watch other tutorials) that I was ACTUALLY able to produce a beautiful square. Thank you for the simple explanation. 💙

I've tried following many videos, and even though you're using UK terms mostly, I had an easier time following your video than others. You go at a great pace, & show us exactly what you're doing. I'm still struggling to even begin, lol but your video definitely got me further than I was, so thank you!

I needed inspiration to make a blanket and this helped a lot. instead of finishing it off into a granny square I've decided to keep going to see how big I can make it.

The way you explain the design is very comprehensive and makes it seem easy. I am making it the first time in my 50s and I am very happy with your method of teaching crochet.❤

God bless you bella, I'm a beginner, I've done mostly chains and haven't done the granny squares yet, your video is so helpful and informative, though I'm from the states, your clear and lovely! I'm adding your channel to learn more. Thank you for helping me learn! I'll be watching this over and over until I make my own!

It has been over 3 decades since I've crocheted. Thank you for an excellent video that helps me recall what used to come second nature.

I did it!!! I keep doing my squares in rounds, but I finally stayed with you and did a square. I'm so glad you took the time to help a Southern girl in the States out.

This tutorial is amazing and very easy to follow. My mother taught my siblings and me how to crochet when we were kids(along with cooking, sowing, etc, while my stepdad taught us how to fish, start a fire, etc). I recently took up crocheting because I quit smoking and needed something to do with my hands. After relearning all my basic stitches and making an endless supply of swatches, I found this tutorial. I completed my first square today and will make a few more practice ones and then I think I'll be ready for a blanket. Thanks again for making this tutorial for us novices. With great tutorials like this, I'm well on my way to being an adept of the craft.

I'm about to start crocheting for the first time and I've enjoyed your tutorials SOOO MUCH. I love that you repeat it every time. Yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2, yarn over pull through 2. That was so relaxing, and the fact that you point out each stitch that you're going through, just so awesome. I can't wait to get started and I will 100% be using your tutorials!!!
