How to decrease crochet stitches (dec) in the round

Показать описание
In this video, you'll learn how to decrease crochet stitches in the round by turning two single crochet stitches into one. This is a great technique to use when making amigurumi, hats, blankets, or anything else that's worked in the round. This technique slightly differs from the invisible decrease stitch, which is also abbreviated as dec.

Your tutorials are my favorite. ❤️
I just started crocheting and everything I look up something and I see blue yarn and a yellow background I click your video. They’re short, clear and easy to follow.
Thank you for the effort!

Thanks for doing this. With the Woobles I learned the invisible decrease and have read that the invisible is the best for Amigurumi. For those wondering that see this comment, this one is the “visible” decrease stitch, which some patterns call for (like the one I am doing right now for a bunny, non-Woobles) also written as “sc2tog”. For the *invisible* decrease, which is the best for Amigurumi, look at Justine’s other tutorials or any other one on YouTube. I don’t know why the writer of the current Amigurumi pattern I’m on has the visible one, but I am going to do the invisible one anyways. The Woobles though are amazing kits for learning and I made my first two Amigurumi animals from the Woobles!

Tysm you’ve helped me so much. Id love to see you do a row of the same stitch for the visual learners if possible (obviously do it how you like, I still love you) just struggling a little with the visuals 💕

I thought Decrease was just skipping a loop. No wonder some stuff looked weird.

I’m so happy 😁 I’m going for the best of the year to get a job in my field but it’s hard not having the money 💰 to do it myself and I don’t know how to do it but I know I can make a lot better and it’s so worth every second and I’m just glad that I’m getting to work on it now

Thank you for this!! For some reason my beginners crochet pack (it's been a few months since I've crocheted and I found a nice little crochet pack) doesn't have any tutorials for his, despite it being in all of the crochet toys!

I was wondering if there was a better way to increase and decrease and I've now realized I've been doing it just BARELY wrong this entire time, but it's been working so I didn't even realize

Hello, I hope you notice my comment. This is a great tutorial! But I've been wondering, why does my decrease look so ugly and bumpy? I don't know how to fix it, I've been doing the same thing as in this tutorial.
