Today is the first time i went to my grandma’s house since she died over two years ago. I was totally overwhelmed by nostalgia and grief and love all mixed together. I found her old knitting basket and inside was a project that I had started with her over 20 years ago (a pot holder lol) that I abandoned because it was too hard for me. She saved my little scrap of messy yarn all these years 🥺❤️ I feel a longing in me to try it again in her honour and I have to say, this video was WONDERFUL! For all the people getting frustrated: I got stuck on the first row for MONTHS; I could do the first basic stitch but when it came to making the second row, I just kept getting stuck. Today, I gave it another shot and I finally managed to overcome that burden and now I'm on the way to my first actual project! Keep trying :)

I’ve watched several videos now from several creators, and this creator explained how to start a new row in a way that I was struggling to understand from another creator. Despite how old this video is, I am extremely thankful for it. It covers so many of the problems of what I am doing wrong as a beginner crochet crafter. Thank you for being so basic and simple in your video. My mother in law tried showing me how to crochet, but never expressed something as simple as rotating the hook. I will be attempting this tomorrow but I am going to watch this video a few times before I do. I have learning difficulties, so I am extremely grateful 🙏 for this video.
