Watching this scene as a child stoked the fire of my passion for both the Arthurian tale and for classical music. Watching this scene as an adult still illicits the same goosebumps. Who wouldn't ride into battle with King Arthur?

God almighty .. it gets me every time. First saw this in 81 as a 12 year old. I don't think any film has had such a profound effect on me. Imagine being the extra carrying the Dragon Banner .. you may as well retire there and then, nothing will ever top that, period. Perhaps based on the flag of Wessex during the unification and wars against the Norse.

I remember being a kid and I would rewind my VHS tape over and over to watch this part. The music, the way king and his men are riding into to a battle. Good memories!!!

"While the King is healthy and vibrant, the land will be also" love seeing him ride past the trees and flowers, and all the blooms and petals drift past. Very iconic scenes in this film, this is one of the very best.

I was too young to understand the movie when I watched it for the first time. But I felt it, which, in the end, left an impression that never faded. I was consumed by the pictures and the music. I could swear I was there at the tree with the knights hanging from it. On the battlefield where Lancelot screams for Arthur. I could swear I was there.
