My boss's sister loved these things.
She had 2. One at our shop fixed ready to go. When the other would break she would swap them out and we would again fix it.
Constant rotation.
She gave up her nice Mercedes for the cruisers.

There used to be a pt cruiser tuner shop on my way to work. My first thought was who in their right mind would want to tune a pt cruiser? my second thought was that they won't last. I will admit that during the popularity of the pt, the shop was busy, but unfortunately, that shop no longer exists and is only a distant memory

We've had our Dream Cruiser for years. Close to 200k miles. Just have to do proper maintenance.

Had 2005. Got rid of it in 2020 because it was rusting out. Only had to do basic maintenance, brakes, and front struts. Very reliable car for my family that 2 of my kids learned to drive in

The thing with Chrysler products is that they usually are a ton of fun to drive. But longevity is a big problem for these cars.

If the Pt Cruser had the same 2.4L /4 speed auto as my Sebring, I would have to inform everyone the only thing to go in 22 yrs now was the fuel pump. It still works fine.🤞🏻

I have one with 304, 000. Never put a head gasket, or transmission in it. Had it since 50 some thousand miles. I guess it’s all about how you take care of them.

Ive had mine 2005 pt since 05 purchased new and been a great car for me and now for the kids. Has 135000 miles and still runs great

I got one for $500 and worked on it until the head gasket problem and sold it for $300 it got me to point A to B for 3 months 74miles 6 days out of the week.

I worked with a woman that bought a PT cruiser new. After 200, 000 miles it still looked new. The timing belt broke but unlike Toyota and Honda the 2.2 is not an interference engine. She had a new belt put on and kept driving it.
