Toyota has made it very clear that it really does not have its heart and mind into building pure EVs... Toyota sees pure EVs as the fool's gold of the auto industry for the immediate future... and, I agree with them... there needs to be a spectrum of power sources for autos and Toyota is diligently working on those and will eventually succeed.

From the title I was expecting all car brands. Where's BMW/MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Land Rover/Jaguar?

I own a Subaru Solterra. I agree that its range is underwhelming and the recharge process is very slow but since I’m a retired senior, neither point is relevant. I charge it overnight in my garage on a level 1 charger. It is always ready to go in the morning. What matters most to me is its very smooth and almost silent ride. It handles very well and I find the cabin attractive and comfortable. For me, it’s perfect but I understand why it is not suitable for everyone.

It's sad to see the Explorer & Blazer on a "worst of" list. Growing up in the South, I've seen older models of these 2 icons last 20+ years easily.

I really really appreciate that you repeated the name of the vehicle as you spoke of each one. Too often videos will only say the subject name once at the beginning and one has to go back to catch the brand. Tx!

I have a 2023 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, never fails me, purchased new and I love it, I also own a 2019 VW Beetle that also scored ‘low’ on reliability, etc . 6 years later, I am still happy with it, not one issue, I take great care of my cars and am happy with both ! I buy what I like …

Really? The K5? 99% have an 8 speed automatic. Not a dual clutch. As for appeal, I still get many “That’s a Kia?”. Nothing has gone wrong in the 3 years I’ve had it. I feel it was a better buy than an Accord with a 1.5T and a CVT….

The k5 isn't the worst car in the kia line up when looking at the LXS or Gt- line. It actually gets above average in predicted reliability.

My upstairs neighbour has a Mazda MX-30. He rather likes it. He bought it knowing full well the short range but he uses it only as a city car. It was the cheapest BEV available at the time he was shopping. He has a 2016 or so vintage Ford Explorer for longer range travel.

I don’t see how the k5 is the worst when the complaint only applies to 1 out of 4 trim levels

You know Honda is doing a good job when the Passport, which probably just needs an update, is their "worst" vehicle.

This is why I sold my 2020 Cadillac with DCT. I bought a fully loaded manual Honda civic. Best decision I’ve made.

Putting a 1.4 liter in a suv is crazy. You'll get better mpgs with an engine that doesn't work itself to death pulling a heavy vehicle around

That Toyota does not make terrible vehicles must be a joke.
The BZ4X is a wonderfull example: Terrible range and even worse charging power.
The car in itself is no better or no worse than most chinese EV´s, but the electric performance simply makes it useless.
Toyota also makes vans, but in Europe they just rebadge Stelantis vans, would you beleive that?

It would be great to see a part 2 featuring luxury brands

Well I own a 2016 Nissan Altima I currently have 129k trouble free miles. I maintain it because I’m a mechanic. It just rubs me the wrong way when someone goes on YouTube and makes unsubstantiated claims. The Nissan Altima is a great car PERIOD!

Unless the car is just junk that falls apart a list like this is just personal preference and opinion. For example I had a 2016 Renegade 6 speed M/T for about 4 years and it was a great little vehicle.

Had no idea about the Renegade but I’m finding out real time. 3 weeks after purchasing a 2018 Renegade @52K miles it overheated and blew my engine. Thankfully I’m still under factory warranty.

I was liking the car a lot before that happened.
