Using an Apple Pencil 1st Generation in 2023 - Review

I just bought my first (brand new) iPad (10th generation) and I decided on this Apple Pencil as well. It’s my first time ever using a digital pencil like this. It’s taking some getting used to it but so far I love it. Highly Recommend!

I just bought brand new Apple Pencil for my 1st gen Ipad Pro.. and it's not working. It connects to bluetooth, pair it but sometimes disconects itself and when I try to use it on the screen it can't do anything. Battery widget shows 100% battery. Pencil firmware version is old, so I guess maybe this caused my issues, but can't find a way to manually update the firmware, I keep it connected to the lightning port of my iPad, but still no update, and I''m not sure if pencil disconnects itself from bluetooth what will happen and did even update anytime soon.

Trying an iPad/pencil set up from Samsung galaxy tab with an s pen. I have a 9th gen iPad…apparently the 9th gen that won’t accept a 2nd gen pencil 🤷🏻‍♂️. Going to return it and get a first gen. Don’t understand why it needs to be powered either….fir what?
