Was completely on board til the pressure sensitivity. I mean, you may as well get the 9th gen iPad for $200 less than the 10th gen, then get the 1st gen pencil for $20 more. No idea what on earth Apple Is doing, smh

I understand why this product exists. It is meant to be a more affordable Apple Pencil that can be used with ALL current iPad models from the 10th gen to the newest Pro. Another great thing to note is that everyone who purchased the 10th gen iPad can now get a pencil that can use the included USB C Cable to charge

i already have an ipad 10, i bought it in the early days, so can the apple pencil connect to my ipad magneticly, even if its an older gen of the ipad 10 ? Thanks

This Apple Pencil is an embarrassment of a product and an indication that apple doesn’t care about both the environment or its customers. It’s honestly shameful.

Correction for all "goofy" people in this comment section:
This Apple Pencil was made to combat the problem with charging/pairing with the 10th generation base iPad, which has a USB-C port. It does not support Apple Pencil 2 and only supports the 1st generation pencil. The 1st generation pencil has a lightning connector and does not fully support the iPad 10. Therefore, the Apple Pencil 1 will need a $9 USB-C to Lightning adapter that connects to a USB-C cable to the Apple Pencil 1's Lightning connector. The adapter is also easy to lose. This pencil was made to combat this problem by introducing a USB-C port to the Apple Pencil. Now all you need is a USB-C cable. C'mon guys, you know the old Apple slogan was "Think different, " not "Think Stupidity."

Slowly the Cheaper version apple pencil will cost the same as fully featured apple pencil and the original fully featured one will cost upwards of $169 something and apple shills will be justifying it's cost "in comparison" 😂

Correction:
Apple Pencil 2 is for the student and the artist.
Apple Pencil (USB-C) is for the student and the beginner artist.
