Learn more about the iPad Pro in our full review at Pocketnow: /2015/11/25/ipad-pro-review (Full description below)

When we reviewed the iPad Pro last month, we did so in a vacuum. Apple's supersized tablet had beaten its accessories to our front door, so we reviewed only the device itself, reasoning that there were some people who would buy it for its built-in attributes alone. While it's a fine product, with a huge screen that makes it especially good for media consumption, the iPad Pro still feels hollow without something more.

Fortunately for iPad Pro buyers, "something more" is just $99 away in the form of the Apple Pencil. The supersized stylus packs a built-in battery and Bluetooth radio into its glossy white fuselage, and it unlocks a whole new dimension of the tablet experience. The Apple Pencil is to the iPad Pro what 3D Touch is to the iPhone 6S: a feature that's easy to dismiss as a mere gimmick – until you pick it up and use it.

Join us as we take you from unboxing to note-taking to our best approximation of artwork in the above video, a guided tour of the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro!

OK folks, don't knock people who want to use the iPencil. This is actually extremely useful for someone who has had a stroke and whose writing hand is paralyzed. Just because YOU don't have a use for it, please do not assume it is not a wonderful thing for someone else!

People are being too dramatic about charging the Pencil, it takes like 15 seconds to charge it for 30 minuets of use, it's not a big deal.

I have always supported the original pen in the past, but after recently purchasing YEBOS as a backup pen, I found that it is basically the same as the Apple Pencil!

Most people who haven't been through the hassle for finding a perfect digital pen/active stylus for iPads cannot appreciate what Apple offers with the Pencil. Honestly I think it's great and well-priced, with the only problems being the charging mechanics and no backward compatibility. Bottom line is if I were to rank how overpriced the three new products are (iPad Pro, Smart Keyboard, Apple Pencil), the Pencil definitely comes 3rd.

I own an Adonit Jot Pro, Wacom Fineline 2 and Pencil by 53. Considering the two active ones, besides palm-rejection (which fails sometimes), Fineline 2 offers pressure sensitivity and Pencil by 53 offers tilt, and they both cost around $50-60. Apple Pencil (I love Pencil by 53 so I did get disappointed with Apple using this name though) comes with all palm-rejection, pressure sensitivity and tilt, and all with much better precision and consistency. I think the $99 price tag isn't bad; the one overpriced is the iPad Pro itself, which is the main reason why I won't be getting an Apple Pencil: I'm sticking with my Air 2.

I removed the rubber finger rests found on some regular pens you may have and found they fit fine over the bottom of the pencil like the one you see is green on a pen in this video and it made the pencil feel great and no longer rolls off a table! Took two of them off pens faced them in opposing directions on the pencil for even more surface comfort. Plus I found the magnets on the inside of my iPad cover attract the end of the pencil and hold it in place!

Anyone else want to hear this guy narrate a TV show/Movie/Audiobook? His voice sounds perfect for a 40’s crime drama.
