I have used 2 monitors for decades now. I like the fact I can use each for dedicated tasks, and not have to mess around with moving windows and settings.

I also like the fact that I am not distracted by what is going on with the other monitor when I'm focused on the main one.

Good video.

one comment you forgot is that you still need to decide where you main focus is, if its in the centre of the monitor then it may leave little room either side of a widescreen for a good window. The other option is that you would want to favor either the left side or the right.

Great video. I wanted to ask about which ultra wide I can get. My laptop only supports 4K and 60Hz but I plan to also connnect my series x to it. Will my laptop still work properly if I buy a ultra wide which has a refresh rate of 100-120 hz? Does it downscale?

Dual monitor setup is much better when you are multitasking. Especially when you are multitasking and gaming at the same time. You can put your content on full screen without it taking all the screen. Ultrawide needs separate applications to achieve this. If you focus on one task at the time, but you may have multiple windows open at the same time, then ultrawide is probably better. Dual monitor setup is much more flexible. Basically the aesthetics is the only reason which would make ultrawide an better option, if you are not creating ultrawide content or prefer ultrawide gaming and you are focusing only at gaming when you are playing.
