This is one of the reasons it's so hard to discern and escape from narcissistic abusers.

Omg this is so true, Me and my ex husband worked at the same place and he did this all the time and the co workers say exactly what you said when I knew the stair was for him being mad at me… I used to be so embarrassed because I thought that my coworkers saw what I saw he used to ignore me and walk right past me like I was not standing there and sometimes when the coworkers recognize that we both was in the same room he was switch over and act like he really care about me in front of them and when I didn’t know better before I can see I used to think that he was going to be like that when he get home as soon as I get home, he’s acting like a demon and ignoring me again then I start realizing that he act different in public with families and friends then he do at home? once I open my eyes and saw that he was a narcissist I started saying everything, especially after looking at these narcissist videos I realize it’s like these videos people talking about narcissist was in my household, looking at us and telling the story thank you for your videos.

I’ve only seen the ‘I wish you would go away forever’ look in public. Knowing he had the ability and means made it more terrifying.

Their death stare and smirk on their face. Aargh.

I remember I told him no in public, he gave me that stare and I became so anxious but others wouldn't realize because it looks like an infatuated stare but I know what it means

Know what, dear Danish. I've lived 55 years under the thumb of people with NPD. ALL the range, parents, sister, aunts and uncles, life partners, macchiavelism, psychopathy, dark triad you name it. I survived four attempts against my life committed by my own father. I'm beyond the point of having had enough. My greatest accomplishment in life was staying alive and keeping my sanity. So as far as I am concerned, they can stare all they want, makes no difference to me. It s been four days I discarded the last narc in my life. I'd rather live by myself for the rest of my life and actually have a life worth living than be with someone and lose my soul. Enough is enough.

Thanks for the great content you share.

As a child of a narcissistic mother, I knew I was facing abusive days the moment she was alone with me. I was always frightened. That stare is deadly.

I say, (while staring back at them) Google narcissism! He realizes I'm not intimidated by him. 🙄

Or..."don't you dare ever catch you looking at another man". Or... "Just wait until we get home. I'm going to make sure you never say anything to embarrass or shame me again"

Naw. His public death stare was where no one but me could see. Pure evil.

My mom is a narcissist. She used to glare at me, usually while sitting at the dinner table. There was such seething hatred to it. For many years, I thought she would kill me and used to have nightmares about it. I broke all contact with her recently. Took me 50 years to figure her out and develop the courage to leave her.

Depends, I've heard surprisingly reactions. Saying to me ' this guy doesn't know what he must do with himself ' other reactions are indeed amazed how kind and helpful he is.

I hated it. People would always tell me how great they thought my ex was and how nice...how I was lucky etc...SMH...I eventually started to drop hints that they are wrong and then we broke up.

They stare often - not only after anger. The person I used to know - I dont know him in his real life at all - is a doctor staring in my eyes in his studio, touching repeatedly my hair in a almost tender way. I felt hypnotisied - I WAS/am still hypnotised....Then he gave me his private number. He is not only still married but living together with a lady posting their fotos at Instagram..
