Ever notice your ankles and feet swelling up and get achy during or after flying or traveling on an airplane? Or even on a long car ride, for that matter. Foot and ankle swelling while flying is very common, especially on those long flights, as well as those with lymphedema or general leg edema. In this video, I am going to share how to help prevent and reduce swelling in the legs, feet, and ankles while flying on an airplane or traveling.

Should I remove the compression socks when I elevate my feet after I’ve arrived to my destination? Or keep the compression socks on while I raise my feet?

I’ll be flying on a 6.5 hr flight soon
My feet normally swells, slightly

Should I still wear a compression stocking?

Hi! I found your channel while looking for reasons/answers to my ankle swelling, and I’m wondering if you can point me in the right direction. I’ve been getting pretty significant swelling in my ankles and feet for over 6 months now, and I cannot figure out what’s causing it. I have a (not very attentive) MD that just keeps telling me to eat a low carb diet, which I’ve been doing but have had no results. I was recently hospitalized for covid/pneumonia, however they checked my heart, did ultrasounds on my legs to eliminate the possibility of blood clots but that was that, still no answers. I was given antibiotics and steroids for the pneumonia and I don’t know how it’s related but my swelling completely 100% went away. The only other thing I can think of is the swelling tends to increase right before my monthly cycle (which is always irregular), and then the swelling starts to go down, but doesn’t completely go away. Could it be hormonal? I honestly don’t know where to start, what type of doctor to see, etc. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated..thanks!
