Great work pal! Here's my method.
Illinois - by the great lake, where Chicago is. Iowa - second letter of MIMAL (if you write it vertical). Maryland - Mary has a big mouth trying to bite the Atlantic ocean. Minnesota - i know a joke about Minnesota, and it's the first letter of MIMAL. Oregon - one of my favorite movies, One flew over the cuckoo's nest, takes place in there. Oklahoma - in the lyrics of Route 66, there's Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona in the right order, if you drive from east to the west. North-Dakota - by the Canadian border. Arkansas - also a letter of MIMAL, so it's easy. Massachusetts - in the movie Men In Black 2, agent K works in the post office of Truro, Massachusetts. Ohio - there are four states in a row (Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio) with the initals of I, I, I, O, and Ohio is the last letter of them. Louisiana - a big L-shaped state in the south. Nevada - once Jim Morrison and his friends took a trip to the Mojave Desert to have a good time with some LSD. Montana - The Rocky Mountains by the Canadian border. Virginia - the easternmost state of the Kentucky, West-Virginia and Virginia triplet. West-Virginia - just west of Virginia; once I had a very kind girlfriend from there, here on Youtube. Kentucky - a huge fried chicken leg. New Hampshire - Michael Corleone's wife (Kay Adams) was born in there. Vermont - the V-shape state on the north-east. New York - a big state that has New York City. New Jersey - Harry (played by Frank Sinatra) came from Jersey in the movie The Devil at 4'o Clock and he was hated by father Doonan (played by Spencer Tracy), who came from New York.
New-Mexico - also from the lyrics of Route 66. California - well, everybody knows, where California is, even here, in Europe. Washington - the first state, north, west coast. Alabama - sweet home Alabama, where the skies are so blue. Connecticut - that is connecting tiny Rhode Island to New York. Colorado - state of the Colorado beetle, and South Park. Idaho - a big I-shaped state. Nebraska - under the Dakotas. Indiana - I.I.I.O. states, south of the Lakes. Delaware - next to Maryland. Missouri - Route 66 lyrics. Rhode Island - tiny state on the east coast. Utah - Mormons, Salt Lake City. Texas - well I've learned its shape from the logo of Texas Instruments. Georgia - just north of Florida. Michigan - this state has most of the Great Lakes. North-Carolina - from the Cape Fear movie. Mississippi - from the country song lyrics "Louisiana woman, Mississippi man", they are next to each other. Hawaii - the islands far away in the middle of the Pacific ocean. Wyoming - a perfect rectangle, that is not Colorado. Pennsylvania - William Penn, the Pioneers, next to New York State. Florida - like California, everybody knows, where Florida is. Arizona - again, Route 66 lyrics. South-Dakota - south of North-Dakota. Kansas - in the middle of the USA. Alaska - again, everybody knows Alaska. Wisconsin - west of the Great Lakes (and I have a word in my language: "viz", that means "water"). Tennessee - with Alabama they form a big T, and Tennessee is the top part of it. South-Carolina - just south of North-Carolina. Maine - northernmost state on the east coast.
