Gilmour was impressed by the Latin American fans. “This was the first time I’ve ever been to South America and I was quite excited. The venues were vast – we would play to 50,000 a night. The audiences are so fantastic and enthusiastic, but polite at the same time and it’s a much more even split between men and women.”

Two pieces of wood, pickups wound a few thousand times as normal, a man with a gift and a backing band and vocals. You won't see another Gilmore after he is gone. You won't find another Masterpiece like Dark Side of the Moon either. I'm glad the youth of the world understands this. I'm almost 70. I have seen the band 4 times in 55 years. It never gets old.
