The way that Bowie steps back several steps after his verses, puts his hands behind his back and lowers his head when Gilmour steps forward is pure class. Two British legends, two amazing voices.

Here you have a 40 yo guy listening to a song written in the 70's and played in the 2006 by some guys born in the 40's....never ending masterpiece

Personnally, I think Bowie adds a completely new dimension to this song and it is a strike of genius that he doesn't try to replicate Waters' vocals but adds his own completely unique twist.

I never knew that I needed to hear David Bowie sing Comfortably Numb. Until now.

The way Bowie steps back during chorus only proves once again he is a pure gentleman

Comfortably Numb is not a song, is an experience.

As both a bowie and a Pink Floyd fan this is basically a dream come true. This was a great discovery.

I was there in the 5th row. I cried then, I cried just now when I played it. The whole evening was very special. You knew that you were seeing stellar musicians at the peak of their powers. I think that this version of Comfortably Numb is the finest version of any rock song ever played. It is that good. I doubt that it will ever be surpassed.

If Floyd and Bowie aren’t in my grandchildren’s textbooks next to Beethoven and Mozart, I hope I’m still around to teach them.

The guy at 6:43 deserves an award for how deeply he's feeling Gilmour's solo.

As a Floyd fan this is one of the greatest pieces of music of all time. But Bowie takes it to another level. For me the definite version of a masterpiece. RIP David - still missed.

God Bless David Bowie, Rick Wright, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters. These men have written, recorded and performed some of the finest music ever to grace this civilization. I love you all and could never repay you the joy and comfort you have given to me for the last 47 years.

No man has ever been truer then David Bowie. I never knew he had turned down knighthood but with such grace of a gentleman too. He deserved everything that is good in life. RIP. <3

I'm only in the first verse but Bowie's take on the vocal melody is brilliant - it sounds unmistakingly Bowie.

When David plays this solo all world just disappear for me. I'm 65 and heard it 1000 times but got nothing against another thousand.

Describes the pain of the human condition so perfectly.
