This one is extremely relatable. I used to go on bike rides with my crush (we live close to each other), and we would always stop at this one place that had loads of rocks, and every trip I would always pick one up. Anyways, turns out she’s lesbian, but hey, I got a bunch of rocks.
Edit: Well this blew up. For the record, we are great friends, I have told her about my feelings, and we've talked it all out. She was really chill about it.

Ok but this is like actually still me to this day, since first grade. I'm not even joking when I say my friends called me a "dirty little rock finder" because I would always spend recess looking for cool quartz and stuff. I have a few boxes full of rocks in my bedroom.

Alternatively, a tree branch would do as well. It may not last as long as a rock, but just like partners, when you find an amazing enough branch you will grow attached to said branch and never want to lose it. Rocks as well to a slightly lesser degree.

Both rocks and sticks have similar advantages yet require almost no effort to maintain. Clearly, the desire to have a boyfriend or girlfriend is rendered obsolete when you realize how much the benefits of rocks and branches outweigh those of having a partner.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but they're a lot easier to deal with than relationships and are generally significantly cooler

So one time I found this really neat rock. Issue was, it was too big to conceal and take home. It’s my secret rock, and I’ve kept it hidden for awhile now. Hope nobody takes my cool rock, but if they do, I wouldn’t blame them. It’s a pretty neat rock.
