A sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a Black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat de Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

The hate on this is dumb as hell. The last two episodes were amazing and everything I could wish for. I’ve genuinely never been so excited for a show. It’s clear that everyone working on this cares about the story deeply, the passion and the love for the story is prominent. As well as their interest to tell the story and their respect for the original works of Anne rice. The changes don’t seem to be there for no reason, and the spirit of it remains even if some details are different.

Yes they made changes, and if you are unhappy with them as a fan of the books, then that’s valid too. But there’s no need to be disrespectful and raise your pitchforks, overly judging something and the people who enjoy it before you’ve even seen the whole thing.

The first 2 episodes were great. So far, I'm loving it. This is a re-imagining of The Interview with A Vampire. If you're expecting exactly what's in the book you might be disappointed. However, this is damn good so far.

Omg I’m in LOVE with this cast!!! All of them are perfect! I had no second thoughts after seeing this trailer, this new vision is truly bringing fresh blood into IWTV. The actor of Lestat is spot on, I literally imagined him to look like this (for me he is perfect one for this role).
Can’t wait to see more!

Just finished the pilot, damn, having loved the book and OG movie, that was terrific, i love how lestat looks like brad pitt from the original, seeing louie with the baby in this trailer definitely has my interest lol

been waiting for this since they announced they are gonna make Anne Rice's the vampire chronicles a series. And they also mentioned Mayfair witches...foreshadowing? sooo, excited! lovin the first 2 episodes so far! I can't wait for the rest. ♥️

I hope they go into more detail in the books in there own way. One of the main reasons why Marius left Lestat is cause he was playing for the Queen of the damned and drinking her blood. After the second time he left with the queen and left him there. They also never really talk about Pandora she is over 2000 years old. This series can do alot down the road in diff seasons. Doesnt really have to be all about louis. So far I love the series cant wait to see what comes next. Been years since I read the books but I think the reporter becomes a vampire and ends up with Marius in Blood and gold been about 15 years or something since i read it thou.

I loved it i personally think it might actually be better than the movie so far and that’s one of my favorite movies. I really like the changes that they’ve made and actually prefer them over the original it gives it more nuance. I was a little confused about hearing Louis being played by a black man since the original Louis is a plantation master that owned slaves which was always cringey to watch…in this one he’s a brothel owner in 1910.

They were always very queer coded characters even in the originals so it’s nice to see that actually be a main part of their dynamic instead of it being speculation. This is definitely going to be one of my favorite shows 💕

no se porque se quejan tanto los puristas tantos años esperando una adaptacion de la obra de anne rice y al fin llega se fijan en tonteras ambientacion edad color han echo un fantastico trabajo grandes actuaciones sobre todo sam reid con un lestast elegante sensual muy atractivo y sobretodo muy enamorado tan distante del rol de tom cruise el nunca me gusto su pelo se veia falso muy palido parecia muñeca vieja si su actuacion fue buena brad muy hermoso y bien la pelicula la vi muchas veces y los libros tambien pero parecian solo amigos muy peleadores nada de cariño ni gestos amorosos .la serie esta muy buena que le vaya excelente para ver desarrollado EL VAMPIRO LESTAD Y LA REINA DE LOS CONDENADOS Y SI ES MUCHO PEDIR EL LADRON DE CUERPOS creo k fueron sus mejores novelas de la serie

Dayum, Grey Worm got that glow up. 😍 And Sam Reid is also delicious. Loved the first episode more than I thought I would. I'm a huge fan of The Vampire Chronicles and when I found out they were aging up Claudia, I was so upset. But then I watched a video by the creators, explaining the changes and was full onboard after that. They were spot on with Jacob Anderson as Louis. He has such a kind face, so I welcome the change. And Sam Reid is the physical embodiment of Lestat. Tom Cruise will probably always be my Lestat in my head, but Sam is absolutely killing it and he's also a big fan of the books, so he understands the assignment. Ready for episode 2!
