This reminds me of my favorite last words even spoken irl. Sarah Good, the first to be executed during the Salem Witch trials, told the judge
“I am no more a witch than you are a wizard, and if you take my life, God will give you blood to drink, ”
The judge died years later from coughing up and then choking on his own blood. Witch or not her last words were a curse.

I’ve never wanted a show to completely throw out the source material more than this because I really want Claudia to come back some how. The character, the actress, the chemistry with every scene partner is amazing. I’ve read the book, I’ve seen the movie… I knew what was coming and still cried at her death. This show is magnificent in every way.
