STRONG.

Emmie I adore you. I’ve worked with you and I know how passionate, well educated and informed, and caring you truly are. I am just gushing right now. I’m perimenopausal right now and all the info coming my way says protein Protein PROTEIN! But at the same time I’m gaining weight. There’s too much info out there and too many people with different body types and honestly I’m just overwhelmed and so I’ve done nothing. So thank you for sharing this information and thank you for CONTINUOUSLY adding more and more content for different people in different stages. You are the BEST!

Sorry. I'm confused. I googled protein in zucchini and it said 1.5g protein for 1 cup. Are you saying you had 3.5 cups of protein (and just ate more off camera)? Same with mushrooms. When I googled it said 2.2g per cup of slices. Did you just eat more than what was shown on your plate? Thank you. Great video!

What a passionate and informative video! As a vegan activist, I completely agree with your stance on the importance of whole foods and not reducing our diet to just grams of protein. Its all about creating a healthy relationship with food, rather than viewing it as a transactional process.

I love how you emphasized the importance of including legumes, beans, and lentils in our diets, as they are naturally high in protein and provide a complete amino acid profile. Your point about not needing protein powders or supplements is spot on - just eat whole foods and trust that your body will take care of itself.

I also appreciate how you broke down the concept of complete protein into more manageable terms. Its fascinating to learn about the essential amino acids and how some plant-based foods dont contain all nine of them. Your example of rice and beans being a complete protein source is a great way to illustrate this point.

As someone who has followed a whole food, plant-based diet for years, I appreciate your honesty about not tracking macros or grams of protein in your daily life. Youre right - when you focus on eating whole foods, the body takes care of itself naturally.

Im excited to see your upcoming what I eat in a day video and learn more about how you maintain a healthy weight as a vegan athlete. Your energy and enthusiasm are contagious!

Thanks for sharing your expertise and passion with us. Youre an inspiration to many, and Im grateful to have you as a role model in the plant-based community.

I’m about 53 kg and I eat around 70-100g of protein per day which is plenty for me. Usually vegan but sometimes salmon if I’m particularly active.

Can you talk about why you removed "Starch" from your trademarked "Slim on Starch" program? Perhaps you already addressed this in a previous video and you can provide a link...

Walnut Grille in Newton, MA was our favorite - we were sad when it closed. We started going to Red Lentil in Canton, MA and it closed, too.

What do u recommend for someone who is underweight and trying to gain muscle? Should I be eating more protein than average?

Hi Emi, I feel I am struggling as a vegan to get enough protein because I cannot eat soy foods which I used to love, but can no longer eat because of an allergy. I eat a lot of beans, mushrooms and whole grains, but when I did nutritional calculators. I was only getting50 to 75 g of protein a day.

Strong! Thank you for reinforcing what I've heard. Good to have your input. I'll be 68 next month so I fall into the 1 gram per kilogram category. However, I have a lot of weight to lose. Do you know if I would use my current weight or my goal weight for the calculation? It makes a tremendous difference in my case. I hope it should be based on goal weight! Thank you.

There is no way that amount of zucchini had 5 grams of protein so I'm questioning all of your figures, especially the sourdough.
