The narrative that the earlier you wake up somehow improves productivity needs to stop. Sleep is one of the most vital elements needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Unless this guy goes to bed at 8:00pm everyday, he ain’t getting enough sleep. Chronic sleep deprivation can prove to be very harmful/dangerous, and increases the risk of having a compromised immune system/being more susceptible to diseases. It doesn’t matter when you get up, it’s the length and quality of sleep you’ve just woken up from. Remember that 🙌🏾

Did that for 2 months straight with a sleep deficit and was sick 4 times in that span.

I actually needed this…
I usually give myself another 30 minutes to a hour which sets me back if I oversleep due to sleeping late. I have to start looking at it as a punishment for not sleeping at the time I was supposed to.

Putting the alarm clock on the other side of the room, upsidedown, and putting a shirt or something on top of it was a clutch strategy for me back in the day, and still! Anything to get you physically out of the bed and moving.

I also fill the electric kettle and preset it to heat 2 minutes before my alarm, so that when my alarm goes off I can hear the kettle in the kitchen beeping. Instant coffee, instant action 💪

Try being a first responder or essential worker. Get out around midnight after a 12 hour shift and have to be in at 730 the next morning. These guys have it easy
