Twin Towers - Safe & Sound

Sometimes I wonder if 9/11 happened in 2011, Would I be this nostalgic for the towers? The fact that I was born after in a post 9/11 America and feel so many conflicting emotions for these towers is already something.

I temember this beautiful view taking day trips to NYC growing up. Visiting the towers often and going to the observation deck and taking in the amazing views from up there. I was born in 73. The towers were a staple on TV. And, at one time, rhey were safe and sound. Majestic. A hub of life and representation of strength. No amount of years will correct the grief of that tragic day. My heart goes out to all of the victims, their families, friends, coworkers and acquaintances. To the bravery of the response of emergency personnel and citizens that ran towards danger to help and lost their lives...to all who survived carrying the trauma, hardship and illnesses that came from that day; may God hold you in the palm of his hand and wipe every tear from your faces.

My Dad went to the top of the South Tower for a school field trip, and later it was also where he and my Mom first met at Windows On The World in the North Tower.

This is beautiful. Even the music is fitting. The Twin Towers WERE safe and sound. They are still sorely missed and always will be. They were built as "living symbols of peace." THAT is how they lived their lives.

I myself was born in 2009 so I wasn't around when 9/11 happened ofc. however for whatever reason I feel so connected to the twin towers even though I don't even live in NYC nor been there ever. but I am sure they must've been amazing when they were here
