Just for those curious, his family has stated multiple times he never lost ANYONE on that day. And they have 0 ties to anyone that didn’t make it that day. They said he’s not well, that’s why he’s doing this, not because he lost someone.

As a man who suffers from severe mental health issues and has his whole life I just pray that this man gets the help that he needs just like I hope I get the help I need😢

I hope that somebody called for help, instead of only filming...

The vast majority of people with suicidal ideation dont want to die, they want to feel better and rid themselves of their suffering. The documentary 'The Bridge' explains this perfectly. Those who jumped and survived speak of their immediate regret as soon as their feet left the bridge. Hopefully this chap received the right support.

Weird how the algorithm works here.

This happened in October of last year. He was experiencing a mental health issue and was arrested.

My first time being so close to my first genuine attempt, I felt bliss, happy even for the first time in a long time. A beautiful cliff edge, and nothing holding me back. A random dog ran up to me and comforted me for hours. Strange how the world turns some tides

I live in Cincinnati & visited this memorial last yr. These fountains are Massive. I'm surprised he even got down there without breaking his legs.

I was present that day. The man did jump from the edge into the pool, there were blood in the shallow water surrounding him, he then proceeds to climb towards the inner void, and eventually jumped in.

People were obviously shocked, and a lot of people called for help on sight, police dept rushed in. Turned out he did survived both fall with some injuries and was arrested; there is access doors to both levels of the pool if anybody is wondering, no lifting tools of any sorts is needed to get him out of the pool.

Mental illness is an awful thing, both as the person who is ill and their family

Just so y’all are aware? The man was retrieved and was arrested. He survived and is being evaluated for clearly mental health issues triggered by being at the monument. But he only had minor injuries miraculously 🙏🏻

There's a book by Guy Morpuss called 'Five Minds' where a character jumps into this pool. What a crazy coincidence that I read this book last week.

Just because he doesn’t have anyone personally that died during 9/11 doesn’t mean he can’t grieve immensely for what happened, I know I certainly have throughout my life.

Regardless if you had someone close to you die on 911, it is a very sad sad chapter in our history. It’s been 22 yrs and my heart still hurts 😭
