This is a very interesting and thought provoking discussion. As I told my last pain management doctor, I will do anything that isn’t illegal or immoral. Could I change my diet like that? I don’t know, it would be hard. I have been trying to find a therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist to help me to learn how to use my mind to control the pain. I haven’t found anyone yet but this doctor is giving me hope.

Wish he was around here. He does get it.

Most people in chronic pain try all this first before they get pain medicine. Until you have chronic pain you just don't understand, even doctors. Although I see no harm in trying everything you can to see what works.

Body manipulation, physical therapy, accupuncture, stress reduction, good diet - anti-inflamatory foods, more vegetables and avoid red meat, exercise - 30 min walk daily, sleep improvement, pain management - medication / surgery / tens, etc.
