The tile version of my "do you want it to be level or look level?".

Two places I look from every time. The first is when you walk in the room, and the second is to flip a bucket over, put it where the toilet’s going to be and sit and look. The end user will look at your tile work most from those two places (usually)!

You know I’ve been watching video after video about tips on doing my bathroom floor. I tried laying out the tile as they described but nothing looked good till I tried your tip!!! Thank you. Now I just gotta get it done.

Bro. I feel like explaining this to the older setters is like talking to a wall. When has anything ever been square and level? Especially without prep work. Like you said. Nail the visual spots and scribe the rest. Really not that difficult of an idea

The tub should be pretty good. but you should never go off of the tub. You should always make a control line and Snap a line off of preferably an outside wall because they're usually the straightest .solely Relying on the tub is gonna mess you up in other places. Most likely, like the threshold and the cuts getting bigger and smaller along the baseboard. You should chaulk out 2 control lines. And go off of them. Also a lot of tubs are not straight . they are actually from the factory bowed
Ideally, if the cuts work out, you want to center the room both ways. Never start with a full tile off of a wall or anything like that period
