Pullups are so rewarding when you finally get decently strong, feels like gliding through the air with no resistance which is damn satisfying when you used to struggle when starting out.

I fully believe in the power of concurrent periodization now! I'm 18 at 5'10 165lbs and I'm in swimming for over a year my bench had stalled out at 185 cause of a combination of constantly doing 2 hours of cardio a day for my sport and also just doing bench at lower reps so I was getting overuse injuries especially in the shoulders. For the past 5 weeks I've decided to give concurrent a try so I changed up variations and reps with 2 intensity days and 2 high volume in an upper lower split after only 5 weeks I finally hit 225!!! That's on top of a headcold, swimming 2 hours and day and being leaner I was able to add 40lbs on my bench and just to ride that high hit a 90lbs weighted pull up after!! Thanks so much Alex I'll be continuing concurrent for a long time now!
