Why Is My Ex Contacting Me If They Don't Want To Get Back Together?

I have spoken to so many people that were frustrated by the fact their ex was still reaching out to them after a breakup even though they claimed that they were not interested in getting back together.

So when I hear people tell me " why is my ex contacting me if they don't want to get back together", I always have to explain to them that feelings and habits don't just go away after a breakup!

You have to remember that even if you and your ex fought a lot prior to the breakup, they are still very much attached to you in many ways and no matter what they say they have trouble letting go of you both as partner and friend.

If you are telling yourself " why is my ex contacting me " you are probably still not over the breakup and you are perhaps hoping to get back together.

No matter how things may have ended, it is probably still possible to get back with the one you love.

Hmm, even after being broken up for 10+ years, my ex keeps circling back around to me every few years or so. The latest contact, he was trying to hide the fact that he had a fiancee and when I found out about it and asked him, his response was "well that topic never came up"....wow. That's something that doesn't need to come up, but rather you'd just come out and SAY IT. So, he's blocked for life now. Being deceptive never ends well and I feel the sorriest for his fiancee'.

She called me after a few weeks and apologised for everything but still wanted to continue the conversation. Which I did not. She's moved on but still calling me and I don't answer. Like if someone has made a choice then you have to live by it, simple as. Secondly if anyone moves too quickly then it will taunt them forever. I genuinely don't want anything to do with her.
