I like that their early powers had limited use. I believe one of Marvel's best character developments is putting some humanity into their characters and not making truly god-like.

It's sad that we haven't seen an accurate version of this on the big screen yet

Has there ever been a reason as to why the fantastic four got the powers that they got? Like why is Mr. Fantastic a stretchy man as opposed to some other power, or sue have some other ability instead of going invisible?

I would love to see lee's draft as a diffrent universe type of thing to show us how things could of been.

since you talk about Fantastic Four, please talk about Metal Men which is very underrated team (I like Metal Men) and many see them as DC attempt to be like Marvel's Fantastic Four. Metal Men is basically Family and have adventure together which is almost similar to F4. btw great video :)

Showing weaknesses from characters makes them more human, and in that way, more relatable. That's why you and I like more the Fantastic Four with Fantastic Struggles that Stan Lee originally wanted, that's why there are a lot of people prefer Batman than Superman, why Superman's biggest problems come from his own mind than his power, and hell, that's also a reason why The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad are so famous! Strong characters are good, but if they have to deal with inner demons, rather than something that overpowers them, they are way more enjoyable for most of the audience :)

Never realized that the FF wore street clothes on their first cover! I think this adds to the realism, if I can say that about comics, since they just got their powers how can they have costumes already? Nice comic info.

I love that the original conception for their powers was so much closer to Venture Bros' parody of the FF. It wasn't just Ben who got shafted, they were ALL screwed by their powers. Learning neat stuff here.

The appendix in which you try to get the people to comment, subscribe and so on is quite long. Nearly two minutes for a 9 minute video, maybe that could trimmed. Besides that great channel, thumbs up

My favorite character is definitely the human torch. I just love the characters who have quirky/sarcastic senses of humor (probably why hawkeye is my fave avenger) the F4 kind of brought me into the marvel series (along with the hulk) or i should probably say the animated part since i haven't found a good way to get any comics as of right now. :P liked the video, and i kinda prefer my heroes in costume just because of the hilarious designs artists create trying to make the character stand out

That helmet that the Thing wore? It made a comeback between issues #374-400 or so, when Ben was forced to wear the helmet while his face healed from Wolverine slashing it open in a rage! The "New Fantastic Four", a line-up of Wolverine, Spider-Man, the Hulk and (get this) GHOST RIDER, was put together again to bring in Johnny Storm! He had gone nova trying to fight a Skrull on the college campus, and burned it down. The police were after him, but Spidey wanted to bring him in, as a friend. Ben was having none of it! Great storyline! You should talk about them in an episode! :)

My favorite Fantastic Four member is Bag-Man from when spiderman tried to join the team and they made him wear a paper bag to hide his secret identity.
